GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR EVENTS

Your registration:

Upon receipt of your complete registration, IBBK Fachgruppe Biogas GmbH will invoice you by e-mail. The registration for an IBBK event is legally binding. Each participant has to fill in his own registration form. You will receive the invoice by e-mail, which is considered as a reservation. Upon receipt of your payment, your reservation is confirmed. Admission will only be granted if the registration fee has already been paid.

Please note the following: We issue our invoices in accordance with applicable German law. With regard to value added tax (VAT). this means that invoices for participation in:

Attendance events (conferences / trainings) that take place in Germany will always be issued by us with VAT. According to the German Value Added Tax Act (§ 3a UStG), the “Reverse Charge” regulation cannot be applied, even for companies that are based in the EU and have a valid VAT identification number.

Online events will be invoiced by us:

• to private persons always with VAT,
• for companies that have their registered office in Germany always with VAT,
• for companies that have their registered office in the EU and provide us with a valid VAT identification number, using the “Reverse Charge” regulation without VAT, and
• for companies from non-European countries without VAT only if a company certificate is sent to us together with the registration. This must be legible for the German tax authorities – i.e. in German or English.

Exhibitors at and sponsors of face-to-face events are subject to separate VAT regulations, which will be pointed out at the appropriate places.

If the number of places is limited, the order of registration will decide.

Cancellation:

Cancellation must be made in writing. Until 15 days prior to the start of the event, the participant will be charged an administrative fee of 10% of the invoiced amount (minimum 150€). In case of later cancellation or no-show (also due to illness) the full participation fee is due. If the participant is unable to attend, a substitute participant can be named. The name of this substitute must be communicated to the organizer in writing up to 4 working days before the event.

Cancellation of the event:

In case of cancellation of the event by the organizer, the full participation fee will be refunded. Further claims are excluded.

Conference documents / video recordings:

If the organizer IBBK Fachgruppe Biogas GmbH provides the participants of the event with documents and / or video and audio recordings of the event, these are only intended for the personal use of the participants and are in any case subject to copyright. Copying, passing on or publication of these documents is generally excluded or requires – in justified individual cases – the prior written consent of IBBK Fachgruppe Biogas GmbH. In case of infringement, the organizer expressly reserves the right to take legal action.

Liability:

The organizer cannot be held liable for any injury to participants or for damage to or loss of their personal belongings, regardless of the cause. We strongly recommend that you take out your own insurance. During plant visits, the safety instructions of the staff must be followed. The rules of behavior when visiting the biogas plant must be observed.

Data protection agreement:

IBBK Fachgruppe Biogas GmbH takes photos, videos and captures statements from the course and participants to create a post-event report. This material can be used on the organizer’s communication channels – e.g. website, email and social networks. All data collected will be used for internal evaluation only. No data will be sold to third parties. IBBK Fachgruppe Biogas GmbH will use the post-event report to document the courses and promote future courses. With your participation in the event, you give your consent to this. You can object to this at any time, please contact us directly.

Please note that there may be supplementary or special conditions for individual events – these will be pointed out at the appropriate place on the event’s website (e.g. during registration).
